Wheatland Cemetery News

The Wheatland Cemetery Clean-up took place on Oct. 4th, and marks the fourteenth year for the Fall Cemetery Round-Up. We are blessed to have Descendants gather twice yearly to pull weeds; plant flowers; weed whip; trim branches; rake leaves and pick-up sticks.

Mark your calendar and plan to join us for the Spring Clean-Up scheduled for May 2, 2015 from 10 AM ‘til noon.

"Mecosta County Quilt Trail

Remus Area Historical Society, Inc." wishes to establish a quilt trail in its service area.

We, the Old Settlers’ Reunion Association Board of Trustees whose purpose is to the preservation and restoration of the history of Black people of Isabella, Mecosta and Montcalm counties, pledge our support to: Remus Area Historical Society’s effort to establish a Mecosta County Quilt Trail that links to the
Trail in Osceola County.

"Sons & Daughter of Africa in the Civil War: A Cultural Celebration commemorates the contribution of African-Americans – Sons/Daughters of Africa – to the United States Civil Ear.

The war lasted from 1861 to 1865.
